Steph started her career at Unilever in Innovation & Technology, spending most of her time in factories in steel toecap boots and a lab coat working on product trials and collating test data. However, her biggest learning was that she had more love for understanding and interpreting data than applying the outcomes, leading her to a career move to dunnhumby. She spent over eight years in the Client Leadership team working with several FMCG companies and Tesco on maximising the value they could achieve from working with Clubcard data.
It was during this time at dunnhumby that Steph achieved the biggest result of her other passion – rowing. Having continued rowing after university as a means of keeping fit, Steph found herself at GB trials, ultimately reaching three World Championships, culminating in winning gold in 2011. She returned to dunnhumby in 2012 until, in late 2014, it was time for a new challenge, and Steph took up her current role as Business Insight lead at Britvic, responsible for the Britvic GB insight strategy and understanding of their performance in the context of the market.
