Giovanni Lombardo is Head of Data Platform & Architecture at UniCredit. His mission is to define, design and implement Architecture standards, in line with the Data Mesh paradigm, applying platform thinking to create self-serve data infrastructure and treating data domains as a product. This also includes enabling the design and development of data products with components of Advanced Analytics, Data Science, Machine Learning and Cognitive Computing aimed to deliver solutions with added business value.

Giovanni joined UniCredit in 2016, working in different perimeters across functions (Financial Risk, Business Intelligence, AI & ML..). Most recently he covered the role of Head of Data platform & Architecture, leading data strategy for his perimeter.
