Gary is a highly experienced senior Data & Analytics professional who has been in the field for 23 years. His career has focused on Data Architecture, Business Intelligence, and Data Analytics, and he has progressed from Database and Software Developer to Enterprise Data Architect/Data Manager and then to Practice Director/ D&A Architecture Director level. Gary has worked with a range of database, BI, modelling and analytics toolsets and platforms and been involved in tool and platform evaluation and selection, and many of his projects have been international. He is currently working with Grant Thornton Ireland heading up their Data Engineering & Insights consultancy. In addition to his day-to-day roles, Gary chairs, presents, and facilitates various online data strategy virtual roundtables, hosts and presents at global data and analytics webinars and conferences, and speaks on topics such as Data Automation/ Technical Data Governance, Making Data Work for you, and Getting Started with Data. Gary will be speaking at Big Data London 2023 and is sure to offer invaluable insights on the latest trends and developments in the Data & Analytics field.
