Dr Justin Green

SPEAKER PROFILE

Dr Justin Green is an orthopaedic surgeon involved in clinical informatics and AI innovation within healthcare. He was awarded the ORUK & BHS Fellowship in 2022 to explore the use of machine learning in determining longitudinal outcomes following surgery. Justin acts as the Clinical Data Science and Technology Lead on OpenPredictor, focusing on developing robust and responsible clinical decision support systems using AI and machine learning. He has recently finished a 2 year Leadership and Management Fellowship with Health Education England North East, in which he pursued an interest in promoting digital innovation and informatics training within the NHS. Within his positions on strategic boards, such as HEE Faculty of Digital Health and Enhanced Digital Training committee and working to establish the North East Trainee Clinical Informatics Forum he has supported postgraduate doctors in digital health training. Justin’s Master in Business Administration was centred on the Adoption of AI Clinical Support Systems in Healthcare and lately he has been accepted to the Newcastle University School of Computer Science as a Ph.D. Candidate in Artificial Intelligence.
