Charlie Dickens is a Research Scientist at Yahoo working actively with the DataSketches team. His research is concerned with understanding algorithms for large-scale streaming applications and their privacy-preserving properties. He has coauthored publications in international machine learning conferences such as NeurIPS and ICML, as well as obtaining an award-winning PhD in Computer Science from the University of Warwick. During his PhD, Charlie won a place to study at the Alan Turing Institute, worked at Amazon and Verizon Media. Charlie’s interest in efficient algorithms draws on his industrial experiences where scalability is paramount.
