The Bayes Centre is the University of Edinburgh’s innovation hub for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The technical strengths brought together at the centre build on world-leading academic excellence in the mathematical, computational, engineering, and natural sciences at the University.
We are located at the heart of the University’s central campus and host a vibrant community of companies, charities and University business units, all with innovation at their core. We also accommodate over 500 academics, researchers and students and our building connects directly to the world-leading Informatics Forum, home to the largest computing research department in Europe.
The core pillars of our activities are data education, tech entrepreneurship, and industrially driven research and innovation. We provide programmes, networks, and facilities to boost the University's impact across the city, region, nationally, and internationally through collaboration with external partners.
