SPEAKER PROFILE

David Castro-Gavino, a data industry veteran with nearly 30 years of experience and recently included in the DataIQ 100 for 2023, serves as the Global Vice President of Data at HelloFresh. In this role, he spearheads the Data Alliance to advance data maturity within the organization. David joined HelloFresh in 2020, bringing his extensive expertise in data management and analytics to guide the company's data journey through the development of frameworks, processes, technology, and tools that facilitate collaboration between data producers and consumers.

Prior to joining HelloFresh, David held the position of Head of Data & Customer Analytics at Booking.com. He also spent nine years at dunnhumby, a global customer data science company, where he held multiple senior technical and commercial roles, ranging from establishing a Data Center of Excellence in India to partnering with global retailers and brands to incorporate data, science, and analytics into customer-centric decision-making processes.

David earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Kingston University and a Masters of Business Administration from Hult International Business School. He currently resides in Berlin, Germany.
